Those Chinese Still Don't Care
June 27:  With one column a week I have time for research.  I contacted My Man in Beijing to learn what those 8,000,000,000 Chinese care about these days.   

   This may shock you:  The UNC Football Mess came in at #47 behind “Why is the “T” silent in tsunami?’.   You are not Chinese and you do care about this latest threshhold crossed in the UNC Football Trainwreck. 

    Hang in there.  This will lose its news value in 3-4 decades.  We introduce THE #1 Nightmare of every Wolfpacker - “That Guy”.

Chuck The Sooner Fan said
June 20:  It was 1981.  Dallas was on fire with JR-mania.  Real Estate divas with red-lacquered nails battled Tom Landry’s Cowboys as celebrity gossip magnets. 

  In a richly-paneled den in Far Fashionable North Dallas, I posed a question to Chuck The Sooner Fan. 

  How did Chuck equate his OU diploma vs "the rascal son of an Arkansas bootlegger" being the public face of his alma mater?

Saturday Mornings at Hathaway's
June 12:  I don’t remember the first time nor the last time, but for Little BobLee, Saturday mornings at Hathaway's with Dad were special.

   The psycho-babble phrase “bonding” had not been invented yet.  It was simply my Dad and I getting haircuts.  Hathaway’s Barber Shop was on the corner of Queen & Caswell Streets down a flight of steps in a basement beneath Oettinger Brothers Furniture store.  ....  if I catch a whiff of Pinaud Clubmen or talcum, I recall those “Saturday mornings at Hathaway’s”.

AND .... Mike’s Moochies head back to Omaha .....

Only Mad Dogs, Englishmen and
June 8:  ‘tis said “only mad dogs and Englishmen would go out in the mid-day sun”.  To them now add “and the occasional Internet Legend ... for a stroll and a solitary reisten”.  My new verb for “reading an audiobook”. 

  The NCAA sends letters / political rascals are above-the-fold / Mavs & Heat ebb and flow.  All manner of soundless fury reigns.  Amid it all, we set a new course for BobLeeSays and invite you along.
