Saturday Mornings at Hathaway's
June 12:
I don’t remember the first time nor the last time, but for Little BobLee, Saturday mornings at Hathaway's with Dad were special.
The psycho-babble phrase “bonding” had not been invented yet. It was simply my
Dad and I getting haircuts.
Hathaway’s Barber Shop
was on the corner of Queen & Caswell Streets down a flight of steps in a basement beneath Oettinger Brothers Furniture store. .... if I catch a whiff of Pinaud Clubmen or talcum, I recall those “Saturday mornings at Hathaway’s”.
AND .... Mike’s Moochies head back to Omaha .....

Only Mad Dogs, Englishmen and
June 8:
‘tis said
“only mad dogs and Englishmen would go out in the mid-day sun”
. To them now add “
and the occasional Internet Legend ... for a stroll and a
solitary reisten”
. My new verb for “reading an audiobook”.
The NCAA sends letters / political rascals are above-the-fold / Mavs & Heat ebb and flow. All manner of soundless fury reigns. Amid it all, we set a new course for BobLeeSays and invite you along.
