So how's your boy doing these days?
May 26:  A typical question you ask old friends you haven’t seen in a while.  Right?  Blondie and I were contemplating a beautiful Sunday when my iPhone 4G broke into Boxcar Willie’s version of Wabash Cannonball ..... “From the great Atlantic Ocean to the .... we're ridin' thru to Dixie on ...” 

   “You guys got lunch plans?”  It was Big Jim and Lady Nancy motoring from Charlotte to Nags Head.  “We do now.  What’s your ETA?’  “About 30 minutes.” 

   We had a delightful visit with our old friends and I did ask – “So, Nancy, how’s your son doing these days?  Nancy's answer was the typical one –

“Oh, he won $1,000,000 last night.”

Apple Pie, Chevrolets & Scotty From Garner
May 25:  SCOTTY WINS !!!

Maybe cornier than Kansas in August ..... into a world going quite mad rides Scotty McCreery From Garner. 

  I watch American Idol with the frequency that I change batteries in our smoke detectors – not very often.  But I’ve watched the past two weeks and will watch this week because of SCOTTY. .....  Imagine a goofy-looking 17 y/o, described as Alfred E. Neuman’s little brother, causing The Most Beautiful Woman On Earth per People Magazine to get lost in the background.

There’s another even more enjoyable mag out there – Garden&Gun (G&G).  We’ve devoured this for some time and bet you’d like it too.  .... PLUS a quick appraisal of The Marine Vs The Boy Scout .....

Herbie has no feet
May 1:  You know the old line – I felt sorry that I had no shoes; until I meet a man who had no feet.   I’ve made a few enemies since last August – ergo “had no shoes”.   ESPN Gameday’s Kirk Herbstreit - thanks to Buckeye board monkeys.... has no feet.

  And I introduce you to my new “friends” – Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar, Win The Psychotic Yuppie .... and Esperanza aka “Little Pocohontas”.
